Vintage Santa

Saturday, November 27, 2010

Here's my card for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge (WMSC25). I found this gorgeous vintage image of Santa in Vintage Christmas Tags by Quirky Twerp at The Digichick, the little bit of holly is from the same set and I just cut it out and layered it on top of some music sheet that I stamped using Musical Backgrounds by Waltzingmouse Stamps. Here's this week's sketch.

The fun dotty paper is from the Christmas Promise Paper Pack by Karen Lewis Designz at The Digichick.

The sentiment is from Around Christmastime by Waltzingmouse stamps, I stamped it in black onto some  text printed paper and distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I made a simple rosette from some red patterned paper and popped the sentiment on top.

Don't forget to visit the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge blog and check out the fabulous creations this week from the rest of the Mischief Makers and WMS DT. Have a great day, hope it's not too chilly where you are!

Supplies:

Card/Paper: Cream card, Christmas Promise Paper Pack from the Digichick, text paper from the Conservatory Collection from 7Gypsies, Vintage Christmas Tags by Quirky Twerp at the Digichick
Stamps: Around Christmastime and Musical Backgrounds from Waltzingmouse Stamps
Ink: Black archival ink, VersaMagic Ink Tea Leaves, Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen

  7. I just love vintage look Christmas cards, and this one is a beauty! Here in my part of the USA, it is very chilly. We even had a few snow flurries a few days ago, which is a bit early for here. I personally love winter!
