For the final week of the anniversary celebrations at CASE Study the challenge is to CASE ourselves! Here's my card that I CASEd. I CASEd the color scheme (I added a little pink), the basic layout, focal point, use of stickers, buttons and ribbon treatment.
The original is a little more simple but I like them both. The pretty acetate floral embellishment is from Bloomscape Ephemera Pack by K&Co. The pink flower and red gingham ribbon are both from Craft Fairy.
The sticker sentiment is from Sticker Sentiments - Faith by SRM Stickers. The little bit of yellow ric rac is a sticker from We've Got Your Border Halloween also by SRM Stickers. I used a canvas printer paper for the background.
The Kraft base I inked along the edges with a white ink pad, I like the soft look it gives. The smaller flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the CASE Study design team came up with. I'm sure you'll be inspired. Have a great day! : )

I often get requests for customized wedding cards, here's one I made the other day. I went for a slightly more modern look and I went with a peacock feather theme.
I love the natural beauty of the peacock feather, I backed this one with a dyed blue feather for an extra pop of color. I picked out the light green color in the peacock feather and used a matching green cardstock as my card base.
I printed the text onto some canvas effect printer paper for some added texture and I embossed the top half of the card with an embossing folder.
I finally used my Envelobox Creator and made a matching envelope. I added a lovely big teal satin bow to match the colors in the card.

You should have arrived here from the talented Becca's blog, if you missed anyone you can go back to the start to Claire's blog. I love the excitement of Waltzingmouse Stamps release day and today (at 7:00pm GMT) 9 fabulous stamp sets are being released - Vintage Garden Produce, Vintage Garden Flowers, Vintage Seed Packet, Vintage Garden Appleblossom Seeds, Camellia, Opera Tags, Little Lanterns, Bright Season, Light of the World Sentiments AND the very first set of WMS dies made by Spellbinders - Opera Tags. Yes, I love them all! SO, on to my project. It's not a card, it's an expandable seed packet folder!
For my project I used Vintage Garden Produce, Vintage Garden Flowers, Vintage Seed Packet and Vintage Garden Appleblossom Seeds. On the cover I used Vintage Garden Appleblossom Seeds and colored with Distress Markers, layered onto a die cut Romantic Rectangle from Spellbinders (trimmed to fit the seed packet).
My project is based on the Mini Accordion File Folder by Maria Bell at Scor-Pal, I modified the sizes and used a twine tie closure at the back instead. Nifty little folder!
The folders are made from ordinary brown envelopes. I pierced two holes at the top of the covers to thread the twine through for closure at the back.
On the inside of the front and back cover I stamped the beautiful botanical illustrations from Vintage Garden Produce and Vintage Garden Flowers in black and distressed the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
I stamped the top of each folder according to category, flower or vegetable seeds.
For the seed packets I stamped some Mini Manilla envelopes (3 7/8"x 2 1/2"). I wanted to make them universal so I could gather and store all the different seed from my own garden, so I decided to stamp some of the lovely text and other details on the front of the seed packet.
I hope you're enjoying the hop, next up is the lovely Kelly. Don't forget to leave a comment on each blog in the hop to be in with a chance of winning a stamp set of your choice. You have until August 26th 11:59PM GMT to leave your comments! Enjoy the release, I hope you have your wish lists ready!!

Welcome to day 3 of the Waltzingmouse Stamps August release previews, today the WMS design team are previewing the stamp sets Little Lanterns, Bright Season and Light of the World Sentiments. I went for a more CAS look with my cards to really focus on these gorgeous stamps.
These little lanterns are so much fun to stamp, I love all the little elements, the separate candles, flames, glow and variety of lanterns. The stamps I used here are from Little Lanterns, the sentiments are all from Light of the World Sentiments, the large glow stamp behind the lantern is from Bright Season.
On each of the cards I also debossed some of the tags or sections of the tags from the new WMS Spellbinders Opera Tags dies. The sentiments in Light of the World Sentiments are all wonderful and would be a great addition to any stamp collection.
All of the lanterns I fussy cut and propped up with foam pads for a little dimension. The baker's twine is from The Twinery.
I think this is my favorite of the little lanterns, I just love the scrollwork! Again I used one of the tags from the new WMS Spellbinders Opera Tags dies to deboss the background.
You know I spent ages trying to decide what color to stamp the candles, I tried yellow and some other colors but I preferred the look of the black. It just worked better on these cards.
I think I'll have to make some cards for my mum with this sentiment on it, she's always lighting a candle for someone in need of hope and prayer. It'll be nice for her to have some cards to send to people too.
Here are the ladies from the WMS design team that are sharing previews today. We'll be back tomorrow with the WMS release day blog waltz! : )

This week at CASE Study we are CASEing a CASE Study challenge player! I picked one of Lin Brandyberry's (from Sending Hugs) brilliant cards. I just loved the layout, butterfly focal point and use of white space, so I CASEd these elements.
Lin kept her fab card CAS but I went for a more shabby version with lots of layers and textures.
The sweet sentiment is from Compact Sentiments by Waltzingmouse Stamps. The little stars I stamped using Tattered Rose Distress Marker and the little star from Bountiful Baskets Additions also from Waltzingmouse Stamps.
I added some soft and cuddly embellishments because it's a baby card! I love these cute crochet butterflies!
Lets see who the rest of the CASE Study design team decided to CASE. I'll be back later with my samples for Day 3 of the Waltzingmouse Stamps August release previews. See you then! : )

Welcome to day 2 of the Waltzingmouse Stamps August release previews, today the WMS design team are previewing the stamp sets Camellia and Opera Tags. I love all of the new stamp sets being released but I really, really love the Camellia stamp set (it must be that thing I have for flowers!).
As usual Claire has packed in lots of variations into this gorgeous stamp set. I love this 'overhead' view of the Camellia, there are two different sizes. I used the smaller one on a little matching tag (the die cut tag is from the new WMS Spellbinders die set - Opera Tags, stamped with the co-ordinating stamp from the Opera Tags stamp set). To add some dimension I stamped it twice and layered it up on some foam pads. I spent a while coloring it with Distress Markers, it was a labour of love! There are two different sized pairs of leaves and a single leaf in the set.
The little mini tag is also one of the dies from the new WMS Spellbinders die set - Opera Tags, the sentiment is from the Opera Tags stamp set. All the edges were inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The gorgeous lace (which I aged with a bit of coffee) is from Craft Fairy. The diamond pattern I stamped is from the previously released Heirloom Patterns stamped using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. The cream Button Twine is also from the Waltzingmouse Stamps store. Ok, on to my second card.
I used the same 'overhead' view Camellia stamp (stamped using Memento Tangelo) to create a background pattern. Just look at the detail in that flower! I love the versatility of this set!
The beautiful sentiment is from the same set. The die cut tag is from the new WMS Spellbinders die set - Opera Tags, this time left unstamped and I just inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress ink to bring out the fabulous details!
Ok, one more card then! This last one is a little more CAS and I used the 'side' view Camellia stamp, there are three of these in different sizes, there's also a separate stem and bud, so you can build your own blooms! Pretty cool! : )
I've seen a few cards using this technique of embossing in white and creating a tone on tone shading effect, I've been dying to try it out! I used Distress Markers to outline the flower and to create some shading in similar tones (I used Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire Distress Markers).
The sentiment is from the same Camellia stamp set but I masked the 'with' part, it just fitted in better with the space! Ok, I hope you're enjoying the previews, I just love the new stamp sets! Lets have a peek at what the rest of the ladies sharing previews today created. I'll be back tomorrow with some more previews of some more fabulous sets!

Over at the SRM Stickers blog today I have some fancy Christmas cards! I love the fancy stickers collections, I used Fancy Sticker Sentiment - Christmas here along with one of the gorgeous striped labels from Labels by the Dozen - Christmas from SRM Stickers.
The pretty red rose is from Craft Fairy. The fabulous bit of bling is from Want2Scrap - Classy Corners by Nina Brackett Silver R - Elegance.
The background I embossed with the Garden Flowers embossing folder by Bringing Crafts Too You. Spellbinders dies I used - Romantic Rectangles, Fancy Tags and Classic Ovals Large.
I made a fancy folding card for my next card, I used stickers from the same sticker sets and the same embossing folder.
On this card I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags two and Fleur de lis squares. I just love that chevron sticker from Labels by the Dozen - Christmas.
The pretty bling on this card is from Beautiful Bling Borders Fancy That by Nina Brackett at Want2Scrap. A little goes a long way. I just love the border sets.
Don't forget to pop by the SRM Stickers blog. I'll be back tomorrow to join in with Day 2 of the Waltzingmouse Stamps August release previews!! Don't miss it! : )

This week at CASE Study we're CASEing a design team member. I picked one of Teneale's fabulous cards to CASE. Here's the card I chose. My card kinda evolved as I was making it! (I couldn't resist a splash of color!)
I loved the neutral background, the contrast of the bold black ribbon and card, the use of a quotation and of course the flowers, so I CASEd all of these elements in my card.
The flower and leaves I stamped using Roses in Bloom from Waltzingmouse Stamps. I colored them using Distress Markers and blended the colors with a fantastix coloring tool and water. I really wanted lots of depth so I really highlighted the light and shadows.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I embossed the lower half of the white cardstock using a herringbone embossing folder.
The card base I made by recycling the back of an old sketch pad. I really like the neutral tone. The baker's twine is from The Twinery. Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's creations. Oh and I think there's a really cool opportunity to become a Guest Designer at CASE Study!! Check out the CASE Study blog for all the details! : )
