It's our final week at CASE Study with Elena Roussakis as our wonderful muse! I've a simple Christmas card for you today inspired by Elena's tea party themed ensemble. Check out Elena's beautiful project this week, I love the details!
I just CASEd the color palette this week and made a fun Christmas card. I'm always on the look out for different color schemes for my Christmas cards, I tend to gravitate towards the traditional red and green most of the time!
The sentiment is from Quick Cards - Jolly from SRM Stickers. The background cardstock is from Core'dinations and embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder from Crafter's Companion. I added a strip of felt for some extra texture and warmth, I love felt on my winter cards! The snowflake die is from Marianne Design.
Don't forget to visit the rest of the CASE Study team for some more inspiration, thanks for dropping by today!

Sorry it's been so quiet on the blog, I'm busy working away behind the scenes and it's mid-term break here so Isabelle's enjoying being at home. We're all set for Halloween, the whole family is dressing up this year (Isabelle's idea!) so tomorrow should be fun! I just have to bake and decorate some Halloween cupcakes (gluten-free, wheat-free and dairy-free!).
I shared some of these Halloween cards on my Facebook - Clare's Creations page but just in case you missed them I thought I'd post them here! I love shaped cards but I'm usually short on time and never get around to them, so it was lots of fun paper-piecing the pumpkin shaped card. I drew a simple template and traced onto Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock and patterned papers from the Thrilling Collection from Authentique.
I used more patterned papers and stickers from the Thrilling Collection from Authentique on my second card along with some fab Black Magic cardstock from Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock. I added some inking using Distress Inks - Antique Linen and Scattered Straw. The little bottle embellishment I've had in my stash for ages and I just filled it with some clear seed beads. Ribbon is from May Arts.
I hope you have a fun Halloween night tomorrow! Stay safe! I'll be back tomorrow with my CASE Study card.
Oh and Core'dinations is having it's Hard Core Crop 2013 event from Nov 1st - Nov 10th, the design team will be hosting challenges on their own blogs from Nov 1st - Nov 3rd, so you'll have until Nov 10th to play along. You'll need to link your project on the designer's blog. I'll be hosting a challenge here on my blog (pop back on Sunday the 3rd of November for all the details!) You must use some CORE cardstock on your creation, that's the main rule - for all the details read this post. Of course there'll be some prizes up for grabs and I'll have some Core'dinations cardstock to giveaway on my blog too! I do hope you'll join in the FUN!

I CASEd the ballet theme and use of silhouette on my card. I used the Twinkle Toes stamp set and matching die from Clearly Besotted Stamps. I used Memento Luxe Angel Pink ink to stamp the ballerina.
The sentiment is also from the Twinkle Toes stamp set. I also used some Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock from the Spotted Collection. The Washi Tape is from Darice.

Hello and welcome to The Craft's Meow October release blog hop! You should have arrived here from the talented Amy's blog but you can visit The Craft's Meow blog for the full list of participants! First up is a card using the new Holiday Poinsettia stamp set illustrated by Nina Brackett. I created the background paper by repeat stamping the poinsettia and postage stamp mark from the set onto some Core'dinations cardstock.
The sentiment is from the same set and I just colored the text with a Distress Marker. The little bit of holly is from the Christmas Lantern stamp set. Next up is a fresh card using the Christmas Lantern stamp set.
I stamped the main lantern image and colored using Distress Markers then I stamped some of the holly separately and did a little fussy cutting. I added everything to my card using silicone glue, I find it a bit less fiddly compared to foam pads sometimes.
Next up on the hop is the lovely Deborah! Enjoy the rest of the hop. Don't forget you have a chance to WIN all five stamp sets from the October release by leaving a comment on each blog in the hop, you have until Wednesday October 23rd 8:00pm Pacific to leave a comment. The Inside Christmas stamp set is this month's free gift with $60 purchase. Thanks for dropping by today! : )
Here are the stamp sets I used on my cards today.

I love Holiday Poinsettia it's a fabulous set with a great mix of sentiments. Here I stamped it using Coffee ink and colored with Distress Markers, then I used some Glossy Accents to add some sheen to the red parts. On the inside of my card I used Inside Christmas, which is a must have stamp set of beautiful sentiments designed for the inside of your cards (that bit a lot of us usually neglect!). The lovely textured cardstock is from Core'dinations.
Ok I hope you're enjoying the previews, I'll be back tomorrow for the release day blog hop, don't forget to visit The Craft's Meow blog to see what the rest of the team have created and to find out how you can WIN these brand new stamp sets!

Welcome to day 3 of previews at The Craft's Meow, five fabulous Christmas sets will be available to purchase on the 21st of October. Today we're previewing a brand new stamp set Christmas Lantern illustrated by me! I used lots of Distress Inks and my blending tool on this card, I wanted to create a nice, warm glowing effect.
The lantern I stamped with Coffee ink and colored with Distress Markers, to add some extra dimension I stamped the poinsettia again and layered it up.
For the background I embossed some Core'dinations cardstock using an Anna Griffin embossing folder and inked with Distress Inks. I also used some Black Magic from Core'dinations.
Ok, I'll be back tomorrow with another preview, don't forget to visit The Craft's Meow blog to see what the rest of the team created and to find out how you can WIN this brand new stamp set!

Welcome to day 2 of previews at The Craft's Meow, five fabulous Christmas sets will be available to purchase on the 21st of October. Today we're previewing Christmas Blessings illustrated by Karen Baker. I had lots of fun playing with this set, I got a little inky and created some Christmas tags! I was also inspired by the current challenge over at Craft Stamper to use a splatter technique.
On my first tag I used one of Core'dinations Core Tags, I love the texture of these tags, especially when you stamp on them! I used a white crayon around the edges of the tag to create a resist, I stamped the deer using VersaMark and embossed in silver pearl. Then I misted the tag with water and used Distress Stains Salty Ocean and Stormy Sky, I masked the snowy area at the bottom. I used some Distress Inks to add some more color variation. The splatter technique was perfect for my snowy reindeer scene and I simply flicked some Picket Fence Distress Stain with a paint brush. Before that I added some droplets of water to lift some of the stain, I love that subtle effect. Oh I also added some Flower Soft at the bottom of the tag.
Then I just stamped the sentiment from Christmas Blessings and added my starry embellishments. For my second tag, again I used one of Core'dinations Core Tags. This time I went for warmer tones and accents of gold.
I used gilding wax to create a resist around the edges this time and repeated the same steps from the previous tag. I used Barn Door, Scattered Straw and Aged Mahogany Distress Stains and added some more color using Distress Inks. I stamped some of the text from Christmas Blessings in the background using Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I used a mix of splatters Picket Fence Distress Stain and Tarnished Brass Distress Paint. After everything was dry I stamped the sentiment and went around the edges of the angel with a white crayon to soften the look. Of course I had to add some gems for a touch of sparkle! Oh yea, the little holly embellishment was red and green and I just used some gilding wax to turn it gold!
Ok, I'll be back tomorrow with another preview (a brand new set illustrated by me!), don't forget to visit The Craft's Meow blog to see what the rest of the team created and to find out how you can WIN this great stamp set!

Welcome to day 1 of previews at The Craft's Meow, five fabulous Christmas sets will be available to purchase on the 21st of October. Today we're previewing Under the Tree illustrated by Mindy Baxter.
This is a very cute little set and I especially love this stylized Christmas tree, here I colored it using Distress Markers, fussy cut and added some gems for Christmas lights.
I kept my card pretty CAS, I wanted the stamps to speak for themselves. I just love this sentiment, it's such a great size and I love the font mix.
Ok, I'll be back tomorrow with another preview, don't forget to visit The Craft's Meow blog to see what the rest of the team created and to find out how you can WIN this great stamp set!
It's week three at CASE Study with Elena Roussakis as our wonderful muse! I've a sweet card for you today inspired by Elena's natural wood inspired card. Check out Elena's beautiful card this week, I love it!
So I CASEd the woodgrain, gingham and use of white text for my card. I love the gingham teamed with the wood effect, it works so well!
The woodgrain paper is from Crate Paper Pretty Party - cake stand, it's a nice subtle woodgrain. The stamped angel is from the Little Angels stamp set from The Craft's Meow, colored with Distress Markers and I added some Flower Soft to the wings.
The white sentiment sticker is from We've Got Your Sticker - Merry from SRM Stickers. I love the white on the woodgrain.

Core'dinations teamed up with Heidi Swapp this week and I got to play with the Believe Collection from Heidi Swapp! I whipped up some cards in record time using Believe Jingle All the Way 12x12 paper for the sentiments. I love the chalkboard paper!
The background paper from the Tim Holtz and Ranger Distress Collection I embossed using a mistletoe embossing folder from Crafter's Companion, sanded and inked with Distress Inks. I added some large bells, some paper string and a holly embellishment, I love a card that jingles!
I used Believe Jingle All the Way 12x12 paper again for the center panel and some more papers from the Believe Collection from Heidi Swapp. The red cardstock is from Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection from Core'dinations, embossed with a snowflake embossing folder from Crafter's Companion, sanded and inked. To make it a little bit special I added a nice big satin bow!
Last up is another chalkboard inspired card using the Believe Jingle All the Way 12x12 paper again, this time I teamed it with some Black Magic cardstock from Core'dinations embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. I love the white and black Black Magic cardstock, it's perfect for creating the chalkboard look!
The holly leaves I cut from some embossed cardstock from the Tim Holtz and Ranger Distress Collection and I just inked the edges with Distress Inks.
