Waltzingmouse Stamps February Release Blog Waltz
Wednesday, February 29, 2012
The day has finally arrived, nine new sets from Waltzingmouse Stamps are being released today!! If you missed the start of the blog waltz then go back to Claire's blog to see the list. We're featuring Paris Nouveau and Labels 25 on our blogs today. I think these might actually be my two favorite sets from the release. Paris Nouveau is just a dream!! Stunning art nouveau labels, a gorgeous border, beautiful motifs, sentiments and of course the Eiffel Tower!!
Here's a detail from the border I used from Paris Nouveau to stamp the background. I love it just in classic black and white.
The large label is from Labels 25, I cut it by hand as I don't have that Spellbinders die yet. I simply colored the oval border to tie in with my yellow flower. The Eiffel Tower was very easy to cut out too.
The sentiment is from a previously previewed set Compact Sentiments! Really love this set! So handy!!
I added a little dimension to my card by popping the Eiffel Tower on with foam pads and the large label I adhered with foam tape. Please excuse the photos of my second card, daylight disappeared on me!!
Ha, I shrunk the Eiffel Tower for this card!! I used some Shrink Plastic to make a little Eiffel Tower embellishment! Isabelle was very impressed by the whole Shrink Plastic process!!
The houndstooth label is also from Labels 25, I hand cut this one too. The green background I embossed using a houndstooth embossing folder!
This sentiment is from the Paris Nouveau set. There are three more in that set. The pattern to the left of the label is stamped using the border stamp from Paris Nouveau.
I hope you enjoyed all the previews of these fabulous new stamp sets. Next on the blog waltz list is the lovely Kelly!! Enjoy the rest of the waltz and don't leave it too long to place your order at Waltzingmouse Stamps, you might miss out on your favorite sets!!
Please remember to leave comments on each of the design team members’ blog posts today. Claire will randomly select a winner from the comments and one lucky person will win a set of their choice! You have until March 3, 2012, 11:59 p.m. to comment (5:59 a.m. Central, 3:59 a.m. Pacific and 6:59 a.m. Eastern).
