You should have arrived here from the talented Becca's blog, if you missed anyone you can go back to the start to Claire's blog. I love the excitement of Waltzingmouse Stamps release day and today (at 7:00pm GMT) 9 fabulous stamp sets are being released - Vintage Garden Produce, Vintage Garden Flowers, Vintage Seed Packet, Vintage Garden Appleblossom Seeds, Camellia, Opera Tags, Little Lanterns, Bright Season, Light of the World Sentiments AND the very first set of WMS dies made by Spellbinders - Opera Tags. Yes, I love them all! SO, on to my project. It's not a card, it's an expandable seed packet folder!
For my project I used Vintage Garden Produce, Vintage Garden Flowers, Vintage Seed Packet and Vintage Garden Appleblossom Seeds. On the cover I used Vintage Garden Appleblossom Seeds and colored with Distress Markers, layered onto a die cut Romantic Rectangle from Spellbinders (trimmed to fit the seed packet).
My project is based on the Mini Accordion File Folder by Maria Bell at Scor-Pal, I modified the sizes and used a twine tie closure at the back instead. Nifty little folder!
The folders are made from ordinary brown envelopes. I pierced two holes at the top of the covers to thread the twine through for closure at the back.
On the inside of the front and back cover I stamped the beautiful botanical illustrations from Vintage Garden Produce and Vintage Garden Flowers in black and distressed the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
I stamped the top of each folder according to category, flower or vegetable seeds.
For the seed packets I stamped some Mini Manilla envelopes (3 7/8"x 2 1/2"). I wanted to make them universal so I could gather and store all the different seed from my own garden, so I decided to stamp some of the lovely text and other details on the front of the seed packet.
I hope you're enjoying the hop, next up is the lovely Kelly. Don't forget to leave a comment on each blog in the hop to be in with a chance of winning a stamp set of your choice. You have until August 26th 11:59PM GMT to leave your comments! Enjoy the release, I hope you have your wish lists ready!!
